RiceLake Survivor OTR Steel Deck Truck Scale
For applications where steel is preferred or downtime is critical, choose the SURVIVOR® OTR Steel Deck. Operational within a day, the easy-to-install SURVIVOR OTR Steel Deck sets the standard for truck scale design and performance, keeping downtime to a minimum. Tightly spaced wide-flange I-beams form the industry’s strongest weighbridge design, weighing as many as 250 trucks per day for 25 years without a trace of weighbridge fatigue.
The weighbridge on the OTR steel deck model consists of a diamond checkered steel top plate welded on top of twelve 12 in, wide-flange, 14 pound structural I-beams. The beams are positioned longitudinally with the traffic flow, a design based on interstate bridge designs intended to last 100 years. With our longitudinal design, each tire is fully supported by the top plate and a wide flange beam below, eliminating the longitudinal ruts associated with competitive designs that utilize structural shapes instead of heavy bridge iron. In addition, a steel deck weighs less, which makes it easier to move or relocate if necessary.
RiceLake Survivor OTR Concrete Deck Truck Scale
The OTR Concrete Deck is well suited for resisting corrosion and rust and generally requires less maintenance than steel decks, helping to extend the life of the scale. A concrete surface also yields better traction in wet and icy conditions. Because of their design, concrete decks distribute the load over a wider area than steel decks. Concrete decks are poured at the job site and typically have cure strength of 4,000 PSI at 28 days. The concrete is reinforced with steel rods and a minimum of two wide-flange main beams and seven wide-flange beams below.
Designed and built to federal bridge standards, the full 6″ thick reinforced concrete deck of the OTR encases hundreds of 3/4″ shear studs welded to the supporting 6″ I-beams, creating a monolithic 12″ thick rigid weighbridge. The concrete deck design incorporates galvanized steel sheets working in conjunction with I-beams to ensure that concrete remains above the neutral axis of the weighbridge. Concrete functions best when it remains above the neutral axis in a compression application. The flexing of tension loading can damage any concrete that extends below the neutral axis. The eventual cracks caused by this flexing would lead to deterioration of the deck and eventual scale failure.
Ricelake Survivor ATV Truck Scale
The SURVIVOR ATV contains all of the benefits of the SURVIVOR line, durability, longevity and consistency, all with the added feature of portability. The ATV features an extremely low 20-inch profile, and provides easy setup and expandability for road construction, timber operations and growing businesses where portability is a necessity.
The factory-wired, self-contained modules make installing, relocating and expanding the ATV Series fast and easy. These pre-assembled modules–from 10 to 30 feet long–and unique self-seating hinge connectors are the key to its easy portability. The ATV boasts more steel, the strongest weighbridge, and higher quality construction for long-lasting durability and performance. Ricelake Survivor SR Truck Scale
The SURVIVOR SR for above ground installation is available with either a steel or concrete deck. For unbeatable strength and lifelong use, the SR model offers Rice Lake’s wide-flange I-beam construction throughout the weighbridge; and massive wide-flange I-beams on either side of the SR distinguish it from other scale series.
The SR concrete or steel deck models are ruggedly designed with massive outboard beams available in a bolted or welded design. Permanent heavy-duty side rails add strength and rigidity and serve as guides as drivers pull on and off the scale.The rugged, reinforced load cell pockets offer easy side access to load cells and mounting assemblies. The SR series ships as legal highway load from factory to installation site—no permits, no road restrictions and no restricted travel times.
RiceLake Survivor PT Series
The PT Series truck scale is available in many standard sizes to satisfy varying requirements. We understand that pit-type installations often involve replacing an existing mechanical or electronic scale. With a 42-inch profile, (pier to top of approach) the PT easily fits into many existing pit-type foundations. Standard widths for the PT Series concrete or steel deck models range from 10 to 14 feet, NTEP Certified.

The ATV-M is a mechanical version of our ATV models, offering the versatility to be either permanent or portable, installed above ground or in a pit. Ricelake Survivor PT-M Series:
The SURVIVOR PT-M is a mechanical pipe-lever design of our pit-type PT model. The mechanical lever system is precision-built from heavy-duty structural steel to provide higher strength and less stress breaks than competitive components. These mechanical scales are designed with a load cell inserted into its lever system. These levertronic designs are better suited for areas susceptible to heavy moisture. The in-ground installation is ideal for locations with limited space or access. It may also be installed above ground for special site applications.
The PT-M is a cost effective investment for a long term, permanent installation, providing the highest accuracy with the lowest maintenance costs. Available in both steel and concrete decks and constructed with the same massive I-beams that support our PT and SR designs, the PT-M is a solid investment for many pit-type applications.
Ricelake Survivor AX Series:
Maintain accuracy and accountability even in temporary site applications with the RoughDeck® AX. This portable, economical option for vehicle and truck weighing is built tough, using time-tested Rice Lake construction. The RoughDeck AX provides a durable and consistent scale for monitoring overloaded and under loaded axle weight.
The RoughDeck AX system includes four on/off ramps and two treaded top plate platforms. Two tandem scale platforms provide axle capacity measurement up to 60,000 pounds.
